Choctaw Nation Jewelry by Scott Mendenhall
Scott Mendenhall is a registered artist with his tribe, the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma. Scott has been wire wrapping jewlery for over 20 years, an ode to his tribe's basket weaving. His work features the diamond shape his tribe uses in their trim. The diamond is an ode to the rattlesnake and their great respect for mother nature. He also includes the 5 colors from the Chotaw Nation's flag in his work: red, purple, green, gold and blue. You can find his wire woven jewlery in the gift shop at the old Capital Building Museum in Tuskahoma, Oklahoma.
